We took a tour of the Mayan ruins at Cobá, visited a cenote and had lunch in the village.

One of the restored temples, named "La Iglesia" by the archaeologists.

One of the structures that is part of the Conjunto Pinturas (painted group).

Another part of Conjunto Pinturas.

Notice the tree roots.

One of two Mayan ball courts we saw.

Many carvings, called "stele" have been preserved.

The pyramid "Nohoch Mul".

138 feet up...

...and down

Denise wasn't sure she was going to climb it.

But she did.

View from the top.

The tour included a stop for lunch in town. There is a lake across from the restaurant...

...where we saw this.
